New vectrex owner here! What are my options for loading code onto vectrex.? I can't find any flash based cartridges at the moment as they all seem to be sold out or no longer made. So apart for waiting for one to come on eBay, are there any other options? Any DIY options?

Juan Felix Mateos has a flashcart that's gone through beta testing and could be available soon. You might want to watch this space here: www.vectrex.hackermesh.org/index.php/en/Hopefully someone else will have answers to your other questions, as I don't keep up with who has what in regards to them.

VecMulti is definitely available (despite what the website might say), give Richard an email.

Cheers guys!
I had no idea there was so much vectrex stuff going on!
I finally got myself a unit, after waiting 30 years!
It's a brilliant bit of kit. The graphics are just sooo cool...
I found the C compiler and software guides so looking forward to playing.

Yup, worth seeing if Richard has any VecFlash or can make one... I hadn't heard about Juan's project but have just subscribed to his newletter... could be good to have a back up flash cart at some point!

I was just checking if anyone mentioned this project on the board here yet, surprised there isn't more hub-bub. Maybe someone can organize a group buy for america to knock down the cost from $67ppd a little when these are ready?

Yes I saw those but didn't realise they were available now...
Only downside is that method is not so good for developing code as you can't download directly, but on the other hand using an emulation is probably better than testing on the actual machine.
The hackermesh cart is cheaper than the usb multi cart though... about half the price...

You do have to take the flash cart out of the machine - at least it has to be off? I can't remember, but you really do need to test on the hardware fairly regular I think.
