hi can anyone help ive just found my old vectrex but when i play mind storm the screen resolution is too big and dont know how to make it smaller can anyone help please

You might have to open up the Vectrex and adjust the "X Size" and "Y Size" pots which are R401 and R408 respectively. They can be found on the power board.
The best way to do this is to run the test cart ROM and use the cross hatch and distortion test patterns.
Be careful not to touch the yoke or the back of the power board as the high voltage may give you a nasty sting.
Unplugging the Vectrex AND properly discharging the CRT would ensure you don't get electrocuted.
