Hi All,
I bought a Vectrex on ebay a few months ago and it worked fine for a month or so, then it would turn on, but the monitor would not start for abut 30 seconds (and nor would the classic Vectrex buzz) but worked okay after that. Couple of days ago, would not start at all. Took apart and discovered fuse F101 blown . Got replacement today, but the fuse blew straight away again! Any ideas what the problem could be? Cheers, Chris.

When a fuse blows it usually means that you either have a short somewhere. The usual culprits are shorted cables, shorted rectifier diodes and capacitors or a bad PCB trace. If you go poking around in the Vectrex make sure you unplug the power cord. It sounds condescending but even the pros forget to do that sometimes.
