Match 3 game (Puzzle & Dragons, Puzzle Quest, Candy Crush, Bejewled) using the light pen controller.
Just need to figure out how to incorperate freemium microtransations to fund my retirement-uh-I mean provide an authentic experience.

I like the idea. We could always use another light pen title

Cool title. If you could somehow fit " Flamin' Finger" into your schedule. Or in the case of the Vectrex, "Lightnin' LightPen".

Or in the case of the Vectrex, "Lightnin' LightPen". Clever. Not a silly idea at all either. Silly question though

Just need to figure out how to incorperate freemium microtransations to fund my retirement-uh-I mean provide an authentic experience. Cart with EEPROM + individual code + special detection for something only the Vectrex hardware can provide. Pay for the cart. Then unlock codes for various parts of the game. Provide an Unlock code web page. Ensure the web page has every paid ad know to man and god on it where you could collect microtransations. For the Vectrex emulated version somehow detect if the game is running emulated. For emulated versions require the user to obtain a dynamic code from your website in a section reserved for registered users. Provide an Unlock code web page. Before and after login, ensure the web page has every paid ad know to man and god on it where you could collect microtransations. For other versions (Xbox, PlayStation, Apple i-device, Android, etc) do the same. But also put your ads in-game as well. Retirement roadmap has been written for you,, now get to work!

There's a ravenous community looking for games that you have the ability to make, probably in your sleep. Your retirement can be assured with a few good games. So far no one has done a homebrew light pen game. With Chuck of Recycled Gamer selling tons of repro light pens, there's definitely a good market. I'd started a discussion a while back regarding light pen development that might be an interesting read for you. Built-in buttons would add so much functionality. vectorgaming.proboards.com/thread/834/ways-utilize-light-penAlso, not sure if you saw the link to the article I made but I read several threads in various place and made a list of the most mentioned games that people would like to see on the Vectrex. tbone1892001.wix.com/vectrex-ports

Not silly at all!
I haven't played Puzzle & Dragons yet but I hear it's super addictive.
And Candy Crush and Bejeweled were both long-lasting hits in our household.
