As much as it pains me to say it, it's time to start purging my Vectrex collection. I have every American released game CIB minus the box for the 3D imager. Everything is in fantastic shape. I constantly purchased duplicate titles until I upgraded to my standards.
I've been lucky enough to have had two original kiosk come through my hands over the years. One kiosk was a bit rough, and it has since been sold to Rick Weis. The second kiosk is in really prime shape, and has been the cornerstone of my collection for many years. It comes complete with assembly manual, and it does not have any major flaws. The plexiglass still had the original protective tape on it when I received it.
I'm looking to get an idea of what I should expect to get for the kiosk now that I've officially decided to sell it. I would be willing to ship as long as the buyer sets everything up, but I would certainly prefer local pickup.
Here are some pics:
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions or would like to see additional photos.

I am sure you will be looking or a premium price so the general answers are, - What the market will bear.
- What the market will bear with shipping.
I am not trying to be snarky at all in this reply. To price out the stand with what you have provided is difficult at best. More details are needed. Details such as: - How complete is the kiosk being sold?
- Where are the other pictures showing all sides and condition of the kiosk?
- Any known problems? with the kiosk?
- Can I, or my friend, come out and inspect the Kiosk?
- Any extras included like the original packing, sales and shipping docs, pamphlets, etc.?
- Are the items pictured included with the sale? Vectrex system, games, cover, etc.?
- How will you package the kiosk for shipment? How many boxes?
- Can I have a friend come out and pick up the kiosk after the sale?
- What is your location? My destination may also effect peak sales price expected.
- Any guarantee given on arrival quality and condition?
- Who is insuring the shipment?
- Can I, or my friend, come out and pick up the kiosk after the sale?
- If shipping, can I choose the carrier? Or am I locked into using only what you pick?
All of those questions, and more, are questions that a seller should be ready to answer, and a buyer should be ready to ask. Here are my current thoughts on general pricing: - $2000.00+ : Vectrex Kiosk still sealed in the box in excellent condition.
- $1500.00+ : Vectrex Kiosk with all original items including working lock, keys, documentation, original box, etc.
- $1000.00 to $1500.00 : Vectrex Kiosk with most original items, documentation, etc.
- $800.00 to $1200.00 : Vectrex Kiosk in good to excellent condition with minor issues.
- $500.00 to $1000.00 : Vectrex Kiosk in good condition with issues.
- $300.00 to $600.00 : Vectrex Kiosk in good condition with not top portion.
- $250.00 to $500.00 : Vectrex Kiosk, top portion only, in good to excellent condition.
A note about the about the last price for the kiosk top only. You may think it is strange for the only the top portion to possibly command a higher price than a kiosk with the base. This partly has to do with overall condition. But the sale may be dependent on the buyer's available space. The price commanded may also be greatly affected by the cost to ship to the buyer's destination. All sales price estimates above are generalities for the more well know USA/Canada kiosk. Much more, or less, might be had due to timing, marketing, sales venue, and bidding pressure. As well as its eventual destination. I would not be surprised to see the right stand sold at the right time for more than $2500.00. Shipping will be the stopping point for most sales of this nature. Mainly due to the fact that shipping something this size and weight will be expensive for either domestic or international transport. Sellers and buyers should be acutely aware the original Vectrex display kiosk stand has a plastic shell around the base that is rather delicate. This is due to both to construction, and to aging plastic. I recommend the kiosk to be sent in a large wooden shipping box built specifically to form fit the base. Allow a little extra room (1/4") for a layer of foam sheets around the entire base. The good thing about shipping the Vectrex kiosk. All components break down and fit inside the body. They were originally designed to do so. But proper covering, internal stacking, internal packing and cushioning is required to ensure successful shipping without further damage. Any other questions or comments?

I am not trying to be snarky at all in this reply. No offense taken, I appreciate the response! To price out the stand with what you have provided is difficult at best. More details are needed. Details such as: - How complete is the kiosk being sold? It is 100% complete.
- Where are the other pictures showing all sides and condition of the kiosk? I can provide any pictures you'd like. Is there something in particular you'd be interested in getting a closer look at?
- Any known problems? with the kiosk? None. It's in top nick.
- Can I, or my friend, come out and inspect the Kiosk? Absolutely! I will provide the beers!
- Any extras included like the original packing, sales and shipping docs, pamphlets, etc.? As mentioned in the original post, I do have the assembly packet (which is pretty cool). I don't have any documentation beyond that.
- Are the items pictured included with the sale? Vectrex system, games, cover, etc.? As mentioned in the original post, I plan on selling off all my games, but that will not happen until the kiosk is gone. I don't want to end up with kiosk and no games to play with it, and I doubt someone would be interested in a total package.
- How will you package the kiosk for shipment? How many boxes? That is up to the buyer. The last kiosk I shipped was separated into two packages.
- Can I have a friend come out and pick up the kiosk after the sale? Absolutely.
- What is your location? My destination may also effect peak sales price expected. Watertown MA, located just outside of Boston.
- Any guarantee given on arrival quality and condition? Nope. I took a walk-around video of the last Vectrex kiosk I sold to assure the buyer of the quality when it left my possession. I plan on doing the same for this kiosk. I can't be responsible for what happens during transit.
- Who is insuring the shipment? That's typically up to the buyer and the carrier. At least that's been the case when I've had Pinball and Arcade games shipped.
- Can I, or my friend, come out and pick up the kiosk after the sale? Yes sir.
- If shipping, can I choose the carrier? Or am I locked into using only what you pick? As I mentioned in the first post, the buyer is responsible for shipping. They can use any carrier they wish, but I personally prefer using NAVL. The last buyer used a different carrier, and things went smoothly.

Given the information I've gathered over a few forums/message boards, I think $1,800 would be a good starting point. I'd also be interested in trading for a pinball machine or unreleased prototypes.
