I have repaired a US vectrex by changing the internal transformer so that I can now plug it in France. I suppose that it could have also worked with an external power converter ("hz" is not that important I think)

What about old or new games? Do they run on either version of console? I think you can buy a Vectrex game anywhere in the world and use it for any console anywhere in the world.

Games are interchangeable. There is no region locking and no difference between carts regardless of origin. For power you can use external power adapters like any other electronics.

Thanks. There was a European Vectrex on eBay at an attractive sale price & shipping cost. I was tempted. It sold in the meantime.
But now I know more & can pounce more quickly if I want. :]
Thanks, -Jason
