Good morning America! It's the 1st October - start of the Shifted scoring! People who want to qualify can still do so, qualification phase will continue till 25th October. So far, five people have qualified:

fmml
hcmffm

In the initial post please find the scorecode which must be visible in your highscore photo. Please notes that scorecodes will change on a irregular base. In order to avoid playing in vain, please make sure to look up the current score code before playing.
From 3rd till 5th October I'll be on a walking tour with friends, score updates in the initial post will not happen during that time.

Normally I should be at work now but my Player2 got fever so I stayed home to look after her. Good part about this is that I had the chance to play Shifted briefly while she took a nap. This was my best score. P.S.: also first time to check out the vecvoxx I got from Johannes last week.  Attachments:

Great that on the very first day of scoring we have a first score. :-) As written above I'll be away during the next three days, other scores can be submitted but won't be listed in the original post before Sunday evening. P.S.: also first time to check out the vecvoxx I got from Johannes last week. Never came to my mind that Shifted might support Vecvoxx. I'll try the Vecvoxx out, too. |

Yes I think most Revival Studios games have Vecvoxx support. I saw videos of the vox and well there is Spike but having a talking Vectrex for the first time was amazing. Thats what I love about the vectrex: you get a retro and somehow futuristic sci fi experience at the same time.
Regarding Shifted it was the first time to play Survival Mode. It is more fun to play than the challenges I think. You have to choose under pressure between cleaning out those symbols quickly and trying to work towards 4/5 combos. Like desfeek said there are some parallels to tetris.

I love shifted... its the best puzzle game! Vectobloxx was brilliant too, but after completing it once, thats the end. I tried playing it a second time, but wasnt as fun. Shifted is like tetris, never gets old.

The hiking trip was just excellent; weather was fine and dry and the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig is really beautiful. I'll upload a picture, later.
@der Luchs: Great that you join the contest, Sascha! Medium challenge is a bit of a challenge, but I'm pretty sure that you can do it. The Shifted challenge may keep you from too much Vectrex programming. ;-)
@bobcat Warrior: Completely agree. Shifted may not look too appealing and may not quite the genre you expect to play on a Vectrex. But it can be heaps of fun if you get into it. Do you intend to participate the Shifted contest?

According to the rules the maximum increase of the personal score must not exceed 5.000 points. Please also note, that the photo proof should be taken with the current score code visible. Current Shifted score code is listed in the initial post. I'm closing my two eyes and accept your submitted scores above. For all the coming score submissions please conform to these rules. ... If I got a higher Score, can I post a second one? You can post multiple scores per day as long as your personal daily increase is not higher than 5.000 points. Today, your personal daily increase is higher than 5.000, already. So you can play and submit your next score not before tomorrow. |
