I've just changed the rules: Now, you can submit a score as high as you want. Thanks for having me! I love the Vectrex and wouldn't miss a chance to participate in a vector gaming related contest like this. Although I have to admit that the prices are very attractive as well |

I wish you had kept the former rules : it gives the competition a more strategic approach and above all, it prevents an ambushed player from submitting "a killing score" at the very last minute of the competition. I think the spirit of such a competition is to challenge each other day after day( but with visible challenger and not with somebody scoring secretly at home). |

Conversely, imagine if you scored 5,000 on average in your games, and then had that one game where things clicked and you got 15,000 instead. You never then get anywhere near it again. You couldn't post it unless you then scored 10,000 at some point. Bit unfair in that respect too.

I admit that this game is partly a matter of luck, but not only ... the more you play it, the better reflexes, game overview are. There is a potential progression by practicing. Ok you can be lucky enough to get the very score and you win... Imagine somebody is reaching by chance a huge score as of the first day : either it is motivating for the others or discouraging and the competition is killed in the egg. Anyway Helmut is the boss and I conform. Just a thought |
