Am I right in assuming that Berzerk "debugged" is not allowed to be used?
Just had a training game (on original) - and that "shooting" thru walls really is annoying...

^Right, it has to be the original Berzerk. The games are split into original releases and then modern day homebrews.

Am I right in assuming that Berzerk "debugged" is not allowed to be used? Good question. I just read through the excellent Wiki entry for Berzerk debugged. To me it seems that playing the original version on the cartridges and Berzerk debugged are two pair of shoes: Bonuses are given and crashes in higher level does not occur. So either all people should play with the Berzerk debugged or all with Berzerk original. I'd vote for the original Berzerk because not all people can play Berzerk debugged due to lack of a flashable cartridge while most people who have access to Berzerk debugged will have access to Berzerk original, too.

Peer, author of Vec-Man, will provide a special Vector War version. Compared to the current version there will be some minor changes. I'll post here once the Vector War version is available (probably Wednesday).

Tony has received the aluminum cartridge shell back from anodizing. Here are pics of the anodized aluminum cartridge shell: According to Tony, the aluminum cartridge shell is compatible with all PCBs, except early MB PCBs from those glued shut shells. But all PCBs with three mounting holes should fit. fruktodlaren: Tony, again, thank you very much for drafting and donating this very cool and exceptional prize!

The newer the game, the more fair it will be to have as contest and will evaluate raw instincts and reflexes. Should consider if any of the known developers have something that could be used that hasn't been released. It will be exciting to see the new title and maybe they can go home with the first prototype of the cart for winning too. I wont be there and I am terrible at games so there is no self interest here.

I'll post here once the Vector War version is available (probably Wednesday). The final release of Vec-Man is now available This release is also the version which is to be used in the upcoming Vector War. Please check out the Vec-Man web page which has undergone a complete overhaul. More information can also be found in the Vec-Man thread on this forum.
Cheers, Peer

The newer the game, the more fair it will be to have as contest and will evaluate raw instincts and reflexes. ... It guess it much depends on the purpose of a contest. For world championships or olympics games people train and practice for years and years. And during the contest the competitors show what they can. The same applies for the Vector War. You can train beforehand if you want but during the Vector War you have to play your highscores to win. I can't see anything unfair, here. ... I wont be there and I am terrible at games so there is no self interest here. Anyone interested in playing Vectrex games should try the Vector War out, I think. Try it out and you might be surprised.

^Plus there's also the chance of winning one of possibly several bonus random prizes for those that don't place in the top 3 as well.

My son and I might try to join the VectorWar! Anyone have a list of links to the game ROMs that I can throw onto VecFlash? <3 From this thread I've found: 2048 ( source) Vec-Man ( source) Veccy Bird ( source) Frontier (no download available) Space Frenzy (found this in Vide)

It's 10 free games out of 12; Space Frency and Frontier must be purchased. ••• So I guess that means Space Frenzy does not have to be purchased after all? Just download Vide. Pick and run Space Frenzy once. Then look in the one of the sub-folders where you placed Vide to find the Space Frenzy binary. (e.g. Windows: .\Vide.java\download\cartridges\SpaceFrenzy.BIN).
