Some time ago, Jason Kopp contacted me and asked if it were okay to include some of the classroom games on a new multi-cart project he is/was working on. I checked with the respective students, who all gave their consent, and then gladly told him to go along with this. Today, Jason sent me the tracking number of a packet on its way to us, containing a complimentary sample. I openly want to thank him here! The cartridge will be put to good use as motivational example in future classes. It is really great how, once more, the Vectrex community is supporting our classroom endeavors!
Many Cheers, Peer

I've ordered one of Jason Kopp's carts as well. If you look at the Facebook group Vectrex Owners Unite, you can find a posting from Jason talking about his pre-order list.

Jason's "Super Vectrex Multicart" arrived yesterday Awesome! Many thanks again! I will demonstrate it in class. That is, if there will be a Vectrex Academy 2021… Right now, sadly enough, this is not certain. Student numbers have significantly dropped over the past year due to the pandemic situation, and the upcoming semester (starting on March 15) will again be virtual and with online teaching only. There is a requirement of a minimum of at least 5 participants for an elective course to actually happen. I will know for certain in 2 weeks, and I will keep you posted. Cheers, Peer

Sometimes (good) things happen when you least expect them…
Only a couple of days ago I felt a bit depressed because there had not yet been any registrations for my upcoming programming class (usually this happens already by mid of February), and then, in the past 48 hours, 9 applications came in, and since then I have been busy going through resumes and conducting entry tests.
Considering the overall drop of student numbers, 9 potential participants is absolutely great, so that now I am rather optimistic that Vectrex Academy 2021 will happen, in which case I will set up a new dedicated thread once the time has come.
Cheery Cheers, Peer

Fantastic news, Peer, let's hope they qualify! When I was at University, I had a digital electronics tutor that was super passionate about the subject, he'd designed all sorts of personal stuff that he'd use in class and workshops to promote the subject and get the students involved. It was great fun. You're doing the same thing, albeit virtually due to tricky circumstances. I wish you the very best of luck and success with it!

D-Type: Thanks for your kind words. That certainly adds to my motivation! Quick update: All of the previously mentioned 9 students qualified, so things do really look great for Vectrex Academy 2021
A 10th student has voiced interest, but has not yet sent in a resume.
Cheers, Peer

I really hope that the Vectrex Academy will happen this year. Good luck, Peer!
(I'm tempted to promise that I'll do game testing this year, again. Due to the lack of time I won't promise but I'll try to do it.)

That's great news, I will also try to make time to do some testing and give feedback when the time comes
