As per usual, for those that haven't already, make sure to tip your bartender (NOW this phrase has a bit more of a common meaning when you had a game on the contest entitled "Get the Beer") by clicking on Give on hcmffm's profile for "vec rep" for the usual very busy work he's done in continuing this contest once again. Thank you, VectorX , for your reminder. Your reminder seems to become part of the Vector War tradition, too. You're right, as I figure it's good to let most of the dust settle and do it on the day after the War. Also, thank you for your help in various situations of doubt, Glad to, just wish I could've participated more by playing, but alas, I had to let it go for another year. and last not least for providing this Vectorgaming forum for the Vector War! You're doing most of the work here, but I'm also adding a thanks to those that noticed certain scores were occasionally left off and they've pointed them out. It really helps to being accurate here. I don't see how you're able to continue with it as it is!

I am in standby if the need arises to make one or two more KnightEx carts. I have prepared blanks so I will only need to engrave them, not make them from scratch. Very good, Tony ( fruktodlaren). I'll let you know once all three VW XI winners have decided and responded.

Right, thank you to all the fair players who even helped each other in getting their and even other people's scores right and revealed various hints! A bit like climbing up a hill together and caring for each other so that all people reach the top. ... I don't see how you're able to continue with it as it is! What do you mean by that? VW XII will start on 29th Oct. 2022. Perhaps we better continue discussion as PM.

Sorry that I did not manage to say this earlier: Also from my side many thanks to our dear organizer and to all participants and players. And congratulations to the winners! Although I could not do any more playing during the last days (I still kept reading and followed all the posts), the tournament was a welcome and whole lot of fun for me, and I am already looking forward to next year
Many Cheers, Peer

Now it's time to find out about the winners of the prizes. Prize Z - Wooden spoon prizeTony ( fruktodlaren ) kindly manufactured and donated a Vector War XI wooden spoon which is the second of it's kind. The wooden spoon prize is supposed to be not quite a prize you want to win and is awarded to the player who ranks second last. Second last player is munch - so munch has won the wooden spoon prize. Congratulations, munch! Munch (my son) is very excited to have won the spoon! I think that's probably the opposite intent, but he plans to re-gift it to VectorWolf who has wanted to eat her cereal with it since last year Please let me know if after a good wash it'll be ready for consuming milky bits, fruktodlaren
Thanks again hcmffm for organizing and hosting this competition! It was a ton of fun this year I think partly because I was having so much success with games that previously haunted me. Some of these games are so hard, that unless it was for Vector War I don't think I'd be motivated to press on and beat them. Nevertheless, Vector War is a great motivator to Play your Vectrex, and I'm all about it... as my username suggests. One highlight: That moment on Star Trek you go superhuman and pick off the "bats" on Sector 8 one-by-one as soon as they appear at a diagonal is an amazing feeling, especially when you get like 3 in a row ;D (Despite that, you still need some luck to do well in the game; I don't know how folks get to 500k yet.)

Perhaps we better continue discussion as PM. hcmffm I think he is saying it is amazing that you keep coming back year after year and do all of this work. It is much appreciated. Thank you for everything! VectorX Thank you for your informative posts throughout the tournament and for hosting the forums. Thanks to all the prize donators. Especially fruktodlaren . That was a generous of you to make multiple prizes. If I ever put out a game you're interested in, let me know and I'll send you a copy. Chainsaw Your GCE scores are untouchable for me. In my opinion you are the most skilled player this year. playvectrex Congrats on all the high scores. Your research in Pole Position is interesting. It just proves that TDF is the better racing game. Vorkosigan That Pole Position score is really insane... I believe you (and Brett) broke a long standing record. You will probably have that record for many years. I meant to post this after the tournament but I left to go camping with the family right afterwards. Thanks again everyone!

One highlight: That moment on Star Trek you go superhuman and pick off the "bats" on Sector 8 one-by-one as soon as they appear at a diagonal is an amazing feeling, especially when you get like 3 in a row ;D Oh yeah, when you get "in the zone" (Despite that, you still need some luck to do well in the game; I don't know how folks get to 500k yet.) Well, after defeathing each Klingon Mothership it starts over, so you get the chance to build up extra lives and all. Plus you get the chance to breathe for a bit.

But I think he was being partially sarcastic in regards to PMs. @vectorx Thank you for your informative posts throughout the tournament and for hosting the forums. Y'all are welcome! Quite a few people chime in every year when they can, especially Brett with his Pole Position diggings.

Thank you all for your overall very positive comments - both here in the forum and in various PMs. Organisation is quite some effort and your positive feedback shows that it was worth while the effort and keeps me motivated. Tony ( fruktodlaren ): Vector winners have decided: If possible it's two aluminum KnightEx cartridge shells. One winner has chosen VecRibbon as prize; he is really happy with that prize and he's in contact with you regarding an aluminum item, already. I'll send you an email right away. minsoft : Your 9th rank is really a good rank and a good start. Especially your Solar Quest score is pretty good. Thank you again for participating! Perhaps your "Vyrzon" game is a candidate for Vector War XII? Nathan ( 8-Bit Waves ) and Darryl ( VectorX ): Thank you for your explanation. The personal comments really take some time and makes the Vector War pretty time consuming. But unlike last year I was relaxed and felt that I could do that. I cannot promise that this will happen, again. I can't remember whether there was sarcasm in my comments but in first place my intention was to spread a good mood amongst all participants.

BTW: Sven of vectrex.be/, donator of the two boxes of beer, has programmed his website to display a scroll text with names of the three #1 winners of the Vector War. Visit Sven's website vectrex.be/ to see it.

That's really cool, thanks to Sven :-) And he also changed the Space Wars box to a Vector War XI box. PS: Oh here his name is Vorkosigan and on Vectrex.BE it's Verkosigan. (Sorry, I was too often betatester so I see such things...) But Vorkosigan - you get the beer, so no reason to complain (Just kidding)

Munch (my son) is very excited to have won the spoon! I think that's probably the opposite intent, but he plans to re-gift it to VectorWolf who has wanted to eat her cereal with it since last year Please let me know if after a good wash it'll be ready for consuming milky bits, fruktodlarenI will look into that. The handle of the spoon has been applied with furniture polishing varnish. That is not something you usually have on eating utensils. But it was only applied to the handle and not the business end of the spoon. Nevertheless, I will have a look at the bottle of furniture polish so see what kind of poison it might be I have coated the spoon with. I could of course just buy another spoon and engrave it for Munch. The spoon was from the Swedish equivalent of dollarstore so it cost just $1 which I am perfectly capable of spending on a new fresh un-poisoned spoon for him if needed. I'll get back to you on this as I will check the furniture polish bottle to see what it contains. If it turns out I have made the current spoon unfit for eating with I will bike down to the city center on my lunch break and buy a fresh spoon for him. Why you ask? Because I can of course.
