I gotta say that I'd prefer for more place prizes over random prizes. One random prize is good but I think prizes for 4th and other places would cool and increase competition for places beyond 1-3.
Of course I have no issue with how you choose to distribute prizes that's just been my preference. In any case extra prizes are always appreciated and cool for more people to receive something.

I could play all day in the event and would still not get into the top 5. Thus merit prizes will never be an incentive to me, I compete because it's a fun community event. I've never won a random prize either!

The prize lottery was supposed to take place today. Unfortunately, inkjet printer failed plus Sonja, the lottery fairy had to get her homework done and didn't find time. So prize lottery is postponed, again, but should happen in the coming days. Sorry for the delay.
