www.hentschels.com/VectrexAuction/Talk about promotion...I'd be excited if I wasn't flat broke. Estimates of what this will go for? I'll go first: $2000, simply because of the imager set, Polar Rescue, and the limited edition homebrews. I wish he'd break the lot up a bit...he might actually make more if it was

Actually, if you sell your stuff (or try to) at the "wrong" time of year, sometimes you don't get squat. I saw one in the previous year or two that had two Vectrexes, several games, an Imager and/or Light Pen, forget what else...all of that went for only like $450 or something, which was totally insane. They could've gotten another $200 or more for it easily, but sometimes when you sell during "garage sale season" you don't get as much.

Timing is everything. I just saw a 3D imager on Ebay go for over $500 but one sold not too long ago for less than $200. Go figure!

Yeah, it's nuts. I wanted to cry when I saw how little that package sold for (granted, you're not getting the whole picture since I can't recall exactly what the content was, but whoever got it got a helluva steal!)! Because it had several games that I needed, along with the Imager, of course (heck, I could use a spare Vectrex too actually Other stuff I'd sell).

Still, this is a very nice set. A reseller would love to have this, as it truly is a near-complete set in one lot.
EDIT: Also, the autographed #02 Logo is quite sexy, as are the #02 Star Sling and the 008 Debris. (If I had the coin) I'd pay ~$500 for those, personally.

I just recently got a light pen on Ebay. I'd like to get the 3D imager but it is going to take good luck to get one at a reasonable price.

Got to go for 2K at least. I might have a few cheeky bids on it. He should really split them up for maximum £/$. I guess he going for minimum hassle though.

I wonder how many emails he will get asking him to split it up. Perhaps he is sentimental about his collection and thats why he's keeping it together. Maybe he attributes some value to his own work of bringing this all together. Seems to be the case though that almost anybody who would be interested in this stuff would already be deep into a Vectrex collecting process.
Anybody ever played Pitcher's Duel? I wonder if Dondzilla is authorized to re-produce that one?

Pitcher's Duel is actually reasonably complete, and not a bad little game if you accept that it has its flaws.

I was asking because it looks appealing to me. Was that an unreleased GCE game? (which could legally be bought on a new cart from Classic Game Creations like all the others)

Was that an unreleased GCE game? Yes, it wasn't quite finished, nor released.

It was released in repro form at CGE 2007. 100 loose copies and 100 CIB copies. No idea if any of them are left for sale. It's not available through CGC. Your best hope would be to look on eBay, it turns up every so often.

Did you know that he will do "custom carts" of anything he has legal access to, at CGC? This includes Dark Tower, so I thought maybe...

If not, it's at least available on the current version of ParaJVE, although the graphics are a little messed up. I don't think it effects game play that much but then I haven't tinkered with it that much.

Is there a clean ROM out there for Pitcher's Duel?
