Yes but you can destroy them when they are behind you also by firing just before they touch you and also factoring in the extra lives gained it can be played until your fingers become tired or you become bored What is the strategy you used to break 100k on Star Castle? Never destroying the cannon? Just shooting the shield segments and flying enemies endlessly?

In order to be told that secret you have to play Soccer Football for at least 10 hours straight and beat the computer by at least 40:0 at difficulty setting 3!
Ok, that was an inside joke which likely only mozie and I understand

Hahahahahhaa @peer please god no I would not wish that upon anyone.
If you want to score high in starcastle in the most boring way imaginable my method is to fly right to left leaving the screen to appear on the other side and fire some shots to hit the barrier and repeat ad finum if you get into a rhythm the drones cannot get you as you will be off the left side before they can catch up with you, also if you hit fire while they are right behind you it kills them. Occasionally you may get unlucky and get hit but at that stage you will have so many extra lives it will have little impact as you will gain lives from occasional destroying the castle but be warned this is extremely boring and takes a long time.

And on the risk of being accused to be excessively cruel here, let me tell you that if you want something that is almost as boring as that, but requires just a little more attention and lasts only 6 minutes, then use almost the same strategy in Soccer Football, and you can work your way to up 40+ : 0 and more

Congratulations on pulverizing my Bedlam highscore. You are forcing me to have another go at that game… How the galaxy did you get that far in Rip Off? I somehow find it impossible to get a really good score in game 1 where you cannot fly or shoot around the screen. And I noticed several bugs. Sometimes the explosion of my ship and/or the enemy is not properly drawn. Did somebody else also have this?

Yeah in Bedlam I had luck to reach this score, but there are also possibilities to reach much higher scores. Rip Off: I played it normal. At the beginning, I try to stay as far away as possible of the center, that the enemies don't try to kill me. And I try to shoot em as early as possible. Later, the enemies will be more and more agressive, so that I also have difficulties. Also don't forget that you have endless lifes, in later / faster levels I often shoot 2 enemies, and ram the third with my ship. Difficult to explain. Yeah, I also noticed the bugs, shooting an enemy kills him, but there is no explosion. With the original cartridge, it is working normal, don't know what / or if something wrong with this binary file?

Also don't forget that you have endless lifes, in later / faster levels I often shoot 2 enemies, and ram the third with my ship. Difficult to explain. Ah, thanks, my strategy at the beginning is to sit in the center and to shoot from there. And in later stages I usually fly at the enemies while shooting at them at the same time. Now that is interesting. I also tried my original cartridge (had played from a VecFlash so far), and indeed it works and the explosions are visible. So there either is some whatever difference in the binary file, or playing from a multicartridge makes the difference. Logic tells me that the brightness value for drawing the explosions in the binary version is (accidently?) set to zero. This can the case if joystick 2 is checked (reading joystick 2 does indeed have the side-effect of setting the brightness to zero). But why this should be the case in the binary, but not when using the original cartridge, I have no idea.
