Tunnel Runner/ Escape from the Mastermind look like the rom "Rogue" that someone did for the Vectrex.

Rogue?! Where can I download that from? I just looked at several sites but couldn't find it.

Its Chris Salomon's game and apparently goes by many names Labyrinth, Maze, and Rouge. I am not sure which is the most complete version though.

Oh yeah, I messed around with Labyrinth before. It looked promising.

Here's one that's very far-fetched, as Dondzila might not make another Vectrex game for many more years, but I'd say that, since he did Birds of Prey, being a clone of Phoenix, he (or someone else) could make a clone of Pleaides, its sequel.

I checked out Pleaides. It looks like a better game than Phoenix. Who said its far-fetched? Seems like a good project for KidQuaalude.

I checked out Pleaides. It looks like a better game than Phoenix. I think they're about equal. It gave you more to do with having you go down that runway at the end. It should have done better in the arcades. Who said its far-fetched? Dondzila doing it, I mean. Seems like a good project for KidQuaalude. Well, lets see him finish stuff first before doing other things

I was thinking about Laser Blast recently. At the time, it was a pretty neat concept for an Atari 2600 game to move over a scrolling landscape while taking out targets; there wasn't anything else quite like it on that system at the time. Unfortunately the gameplay got old quick, even at the higher levels where they shoot in really quick fashion (unless you're not very good at video games). Kokovec attempted a Laser Blast clone, but either lost or accidentally destroyed the source code for it (I don't recall which), so that'll probably never be finished. Anyway, I think that would make a good concept game, starting off as a Laser Blast rip-off with shooting those three targets for a few rounds...then perhaps have another one pop out of the ground to take care of. Then possibly have the screen continually scroll for other targets...then maybe there could be another change where you pick up stranded astronauts or something. And then later you could enter some underground caverns (Gravitar- or Subterranea-like [also for the 2600]) for some other kind of mission, maybe even scrolling back to the left that time around. Quite a few possibilities there, I think

Bosconian would be another good candidate, due to the Vectrex being able to handle scrolling. Scrolling around a galaxy while blowing up starbases and space crap along the way = good

First thought when I saw the thread title: TAC/SCAN. But I see I'm the 3rd or 4th person to suggest it. Bosconian (+1 VectorX) would be cool too. Or in true homebrew spirit, an amalgamation of the best features of Bosconian, Thunder Force 2, Time Pilot, Sinistar, Dragon Spirit, and Trevor McFur in the Crescent Galaxy.

Well that's a mouth (and game) full!
Like Buckaroo Bonzai: what was he, like a comic book artist, musician, surgeon, hero, and about five other things?

I'm ashamed to say, I've never seen Buckaroo Bonzai.

I've never seen the whole thing either, I just know Peter Weller had like eight jobs in the movie.

Well that's a mouth (and game) full! Like Buckaroo Bonzai: what was he, like a comic book artist, musician, surgeon, hero, and about five other things? And physicist, race car driver and of course he was his very own comic book hero in the movie. Not to mentions his Blue Blaze Irregulars that he was more or less in command of. All those John's you simply had to laugh at. John Yaya. John Smallberries. John O'Connor. John Parker. John Emdall. John Gomez. John Bigbootie (Bigbooté! té! té!) You rock Christopher Lloyd! Such great 80's cheese. I must have seen the whole movie 20 times or more. Now that IS a movie worth making a Vectrex video game out of. Heck! The game design is already written into the plot! Just have to make the Vectrex version of it. There might even be a Vectrex graphic at 00:05:11
