It'd miss a bit in translation without color for those of us who have played (/even own) the game (although the overlay thought is intriguing), but with the right amount of variations it could work (game 3 is the best, in my opinion, due to having the glowing bars that will add to your time limit).

Volleyball with a growing net!

This is great - and it was from 1974.
I have to say though that I would have enjoyed it even more if it had the old-school volleyball scoring (that I watched growing up).

Rebound is a game that could definitely be spruced up with some better graphics. Since the gameplay isn't very involved, scoring could be more flashy.

Since the gameplay isn't very involved, scoring could be more flashy. Well, it depends on what options our homebrewers could come up with

There is already clean sweep, but I'd like to see an accurate version of pac-man including start screen and sounds. inky pinky vecty ..
I know nobody expected that I'm a big pacman fan.

Rebound is a great idea. Just in the past week I was experimenting with moving an object as if it was under gravity - like the ball in rebound. My original idea of an artillery-type game does not really work as the screen is too narrow but will see if I can convert it to a rebound-like game.
A real Pacman is also a very good idea, I could just never get into clean sweep. I guess the idea of vacuuming the floor is not nearly as exciting as escaping and chasing ghosts :-)
I would add that an actual clone of Galaga would be great to have. Not an "inspired by" bottom shooter but the real thing with the capture rays, the patterns, the double ship and everything.

The capture rays are the best part of Galaga.
I've also thought it might be nice to have a alternative version of the Pac-man style game. The charm of Pac-man is missing for Clean Sweep. Its too stripped down. It could benefit from better in-game sounds/music maybe even use of the VecVox. Utilizing the character map, you could even give it much better graphics.

If we're talking maze games, I'd love to see a version of Ladybug.

Ladybug wouldn't be too bad. Its a fair amount different from all the Paclones. My first thought was to use the 3D imager but then I realized that the mazes never change only the enemies do.

Is that your "half" a game from a while back you were working on or is this something else? I guess the idea of vacuuming the floor is not nearly as exciting as escaping and chasing ghosts :-) But you're vacuuming up DOLLAR BILLS! Sheesh.

Is that your "half" a game from a while back you were working on or is this something else? But you're vacuuming up DOLLAR BILLS! Sheesh. No, that game is a "speed pattern matching" game. I just needed a break from that one, there are a few things that I was not quite happy about and needed to "recharge" a little. It is not that far from being done, needs some music and still thinking about another game mode for it. This one was going to be the really old school left vs right artillery game shooting over hills and such but the scrolling screen just does not work that well since you cannot really see the whole trajectory of the round. However since I have things jumping around the screen now, I am transforming it into something else for which I hope the scrolling will work just fine. Also good point about the dollar bills :-)

I always thought it'd have been interesting if Martin had taken the animations from Debris and Astro Dodge and made an Asteroids clone.
