It truely is where the sun don't shine.... Ha ha. There are many abandoned places' sites and YouTube videos and the like. I'd start there. Also, there's some Google thing (I'd have to look it up if you'd want to check it out) where you can look at a certain spot (maybe even Google Earth?) and see how it looked 20, 30, maybe even more years before that. They could have some shots of specific places if you're lucky and have the coordinates. Those do sound like good places to start. Although in most instances I wouldn't keep my hopes up. Most of the places are not just abandoned, but entirely non existent and demolished. ... Putting local ad for old photos might produce results for old theme parks and stuff like that. But nobody really photographs "memories" inside department stores or cinemas.

Most of the places are not just abandoned, but entirely non existent and demolished. Well, if stuff's been archived on Google Earth or whatever program it is that I've heard of, some photos of places might still exist. Oh, and ha ha: in regards to the original subject, when all else fails, read the directions! No one has ever captured the elusive twentieth creature. Will you?Guess you did Sorry, there doesn't seem to be any more after that.

Oh, and ha ha: in regards to the original subject, when all else fails, read the directions! No one has ever captured the elusive twentieth creature. Will you?Guess you did Sorry, there doesn't seem to be any more after that. Whaaaaaaaat!? Holy crap! I'm not sure if I would have been happier not knowing that, but I think I might have been. Strange that the game just continues without trophies after that. You'd think it would say "the end" or start over from the beginning or something. I thought I had read in that same manual that there were 21. I'm sure that that was my source, but apparently I remembered incorrectly. Of course at the time I was nowhere near 20, so the exact number was not such an important detail back then. ... So I kind of feel ripped off now. Could have at least given text "congratulations", or the final trophy could have had some more significant form. The most obvious way would have been for the final trophy to be the same shape and form as the winged player character.

I think its another case of them thinking that no one would ever be able to get 20 trophies in the first place.

I think its another case of them thinking that no one would ever be able to get 20 trophies in the first place. Sounds about right. Although it doesn't measure very evenly with Minestorm, seeing as they told you how many there were from the outset with Web Wars. Plus I'm fairly confident saying that it is easier to get all 20 trophies in Web Wars than it is to get past level 13(?) of Minestorm. And the Minestorm "ending" lead to a revision of the software. I guess I can be glad that there is no super rare Web Wars 2 cart for me to spend my money on.

Considering the fact that Minestorm was built-in, a lot more people played it. I wish that I knew how many units of the system and each game were sold. One thing that I've noticed is that even though Pole Position, Polar Rescue and Star Castle are perceived to be the rarest of the Vectrex games, and likely because they were released in 83 rather than 82, they are listed far more often on Ebay than Spinball, which I very rarely see.

I guess I can be glad that there is no super rare Web Wars 2 cart for me to spend my money on. *cough* "Newport Cigarettes at one point commisioned a customized version of Web Wars. It just featured "Newport Cigarettes Presents" on the title screen and trophy room screen. Bill Hawkins finished the coding which was sent to Newport, but it isn't known whatever happened with that, if anything. 'Salem Cigarettes Promotional Cartridge' was mentioned in some e-mails by an ex-GCE employee and we suspect that's the same thing." source: www.vectrexmuseum.com/mirror/vgdb/pages/VGDB075.phpAlso, well done on discovering the end of Web Wars, very nice work! I do love the game, I just spend more time with others.

I think its another case of them thinking that no one would ever be able to get 20 trophies in the first place. Well it did take 32 years... Although I guess Glip is not the only person to have done it... Inspired by Butt-tocks... She looked a big-ish girl... Nothing wrong with that! Mustn't be a fattist. I'll try Web Wars whilst looking at my bro-in-laws girlfriends behind. There I go again. I reckon I'll get 21.

*cough* "Newport Cigarettes at one point commissioned a customized version of Web Wars. Yeah, I remember hearing about that. But the "Web Wars 2" that I was referring to was a fictional one, along the lines of Minestorm 2 - a game that was made in limited quantity for those who complained that Minestorm ended too soon. ... So "Web Wars 2" would have 100 trophies or at least a hard mode that followed the first run through 20. Minestorm 2 doesn't interest me near enough to seek out an authentic cartridge, (I can't get past level 6 anyway). And realistically, I wouldn't really be seeking authentic "Web Wars 2" if it existed. ... Definitely would have gotten in a repro cart from CGC though.

to figure out if there is a 21st trophy and/or an end of the game someone just has to disassemble a ROM and document every line in it, easy as pie.

and "coming soon from gce" "ads" for Cosmic Chasm and Bedlam. Why would they do that? This is great!
