I have no issues seeing any of these on Mozilla. I don't use IE. Maybe you have an extension installed that is not letting you see the pages on Mozilla.

Thought it worth copying my Mail Plane proto posts from the For Sale section. To add to the below I've played a bit more last night and the cart has all 5 maps/levels, you can land and unload packages and you get to a Game Over screen after losing all lives.
Has anyone who's 'tracked' the progress and movements of the known prototypes over the years seen this seemingly complete version on their travels?
:
Morning all.
I bought the Mail Plane proto, the low price made it so I wasn't worried about the risk and I thought the font from the print on the white label was identical to others seen with the same gap in the N letter.
I only got back from 2 weeks away last night so only just got to check out the cart... on the back is the 1982 (I think) GCE text, not sure if that's on any repro shells? I booted the cart last night but didn't have a lightpen out so only saw the screen shown in the auction.
Any tips on opening these prototype shells that have no screw? Actually thinking about it, the lack of a screw or any hole for one makes it more likely to be legit I suppose.
Will test it properly this week and report back...

Post by cNp on 22 hours ago Just tested it with a lightpen and it seems pretty functional...
I haven't really played the released rom on my Madtronix cart to accurately compare but on this cart you can:
Make a route on the map Click Continue Load Up the plane Accelerate and take off from the runway Fly around in the sky

my mail plane proto has the same font as the one on FR eBay right down to the glitches in the N and E so i'd think it originates from the same lab/typewriter
the sticker on the PCB reads, written in blue pen
MAIL PLANE 11-30-83 C217
the board has an MB logo on it
i believe the binary has the same checksum (or whatever its called) as the one Chris released.
i got it years ago with a bunch of proto carts/loose chips from a former Coleco employee who had traded games with an MB employee

I like this game very much. I don't know whether we can go through the clouds (I would have to play it a bit tonight) but seems that the higher the plane is, the faster it flies (required to avoid some bad clouds)

Oh, great observation about the speed vs height.
Will definitely play it more and will fly around those clouds with ease now!

Someone is finally getting around to making a reproduction version of Mail Plane btw (complete in box!), based on the proto he owns. Thankfully said proto appears to be as complete as the one Chris bought and released to the public.
I'm gonna see if I can get him to join here, as I'm sure he'd get a bunch of interest...

I will be testing both and report any difference.
If Chris's plays better, there is still time to use that proto in this release.

This reproduction looks just great! Thanks for posting this, Mayhem. Who did the reproduction? I guess quite a number of collectors (including me) would be very keen to get a copy. I really wonder what is written in the Mail plane manual...

I really wonder what is written in the Mail plane manual... Yeah, I've offered to give the manual a proof-read if need be, seems to be my sort of calling heh.
