I would buy a $50-$60 boxed Mail Plane.
Did Vectrexer win that eBay copy, or did he already have one? Oh, it seems he said he was the first bidder, and that ebayer won. Great!

Oh, and the answer to the query about what prototypes the seller had, it is Mail Plane, Dark Tower and Pitcher's Duel.

more a rhetorical comment on the plummeting value of mail plane proto stock... i paid $2300 for a set of chips which included MP, DT, PD, TdF protos so i figured those were the four Benzjr is selling now - he didn't mention the 4th title did he?

Ah, I guess those would be the four. (He mentioned he had 4, but I don't think he named any of them until listing the first two individually, unless it was in private communications).
Mail Plane would be by far the most exciting one then.

Just going on Dark Tower, which was listed before, and Pitcher's Duel which is listed on eBay now. I don't know what the fourth is, but you're probably correct Shawn.

Have a copy I dumped earlier that was non-playable. Perhaps an early concept version. Good only from a historical and collector viewpoint. The current one, playable according to the seller. We'll see when I get it.

Yeah, via EPROM burner and Hutchinson's Vecflash (I think).

vectrexer - Do you have a current website where you have dumped other ROM's, (and where this new Mail Plane might end up eventually)? Or WHERE do you dump?
... Looking forward to your report on this "playable" version after you receive it.

Via email I've offered you to throw in $100. Let me know, vectrexer, if and where to throw the money. ;-)
I'm very nosey to hear how complete the Mail Plane is. E.g. do all maps of North America work?
