... but I still need to be able to look deep into Mrs. Vecrexroli´s eyes without any guilty feelings. I hear ya. Roli, what would go in your top 10? I'm curious about that also. I'm guessing you might slip in some interesting, unexpected titles like Trakkers. (?)

^He does have the "slim" titles from Vectorzoa. Maybe one of those could go in there.

Wyldephang, here's a good list of what Retro Gamer magazine thinks is the 10 best games for the Vectrex. As with any "Top 10", "Top 50", "Top 100", or whatever list, it is a little controversial. Some games I would not include and Vector Pilot tends to be unanomously at the top of everyone's list, however it is missing. The list is mine, or more precisely the homebrew games included were my choices. I can't recall who picked the five original release titles (of which the pool did include prototypes, hence why Dark Tower is there). The list was originally part of a Vectrex hardware article I wrote that was published in Retro Gamer magazine issue #35. That was the early part of 2007. You now see why Vector Pilot isn't in the list? Yes, if I was drawing up that list of five homebrews NOW, it would be somewhat different! I'm fairly sure Thrust and Protector would still be in there.

When it comes to the best game on the Vectrex for me that´s clearly Vector Pilot. It is so polished and well made, I always have the feeling my Vectrex turns into a small arcade machine when I put that cartridge in.

I thought that it might have been an older article, which is why I checked the date on the online article. It said Jan 2014, but it didnt occur to me that it was a reprint having never read The Retro Gamer article. No argument with Thrust or Protector.

Yeah, the RG website is slowly transferring some of the old print-only content online now.

Wait there is a Vector Pilot wrap? I only know the YASI wrap. I bought some other stuff "I needed" more urgent lately like a VecMulti, Mateos Burner/Dumper, an Omega Chase Deluxe cartridge, a boxed Vectrex replacement controller, an Odyssey 2 Multicart and also some rare stuff for the Virtual Boy. So I guess I will not buy one even it comes out.

I´m agree with vectrexroli about the Vector Pilot, great and sweet running, very well worked. ...And not being a great collector, think I will likely collect the future Vector Patrol

I have seen that photo of the Time Pilot cabinet, but I was too stupid to realize that this means a Vector Pilot wrap will come out. Those wraps look really great and I have seen that there is also a part for the original controller. This would be a bit pointless in my case as I try to avoid using the original controller as it is complicated to open up and to repair, I only use that one for Star Sling, Spikes Circus and Hyberchase.

Moon Patrol is one of my favorite arcade games, I have several versions in my collection and it is not that easy to find a proper version for old systems. Well of course I could play it on Mame as well, but the version for the Gameboy Color is pretty good and close to the original.

Kristoff picks the right arcade machines somehow, all the ones I've played an awful lot so I can give very good feedback during playtesting

^Including Vectorion? I didn't like that arcade game that much, so that's one I'll probably skip of his. I'll probably get everything else though! Those wraps look really great and I have seen that there is also a part for the original controller. This would be a bit pointless in my case as I try to avoid using the original controller as it is complicated to open up and to repair, I only use that one for Star Sling, Spikes Circus and Hyberchase. I hear ya. If I ever get any wraps myself (Berzerk is a possibility), I don't use the original controller either. But then I might never put on the wraps anyway, I might just have them lying around to look at and admire!
