Now I have, and while there's a bit more crushing than the one I got from him (mine has slight visible water damage that yours doesn't) - that is still a wonderful piece. Congrats!
Do you think the crushing might have happened during shipping? I know when mine showed up I was amazed it was in as nice of shape as it was, considering how poorly it was packaged. It was inside another box, but with no wrapping around the exterior, AND it was shipped on its side. I'm actually kind of afraid to open it to discover a non-working Vec - my baby will remain sealed.
Will yours?

No, it was like that when Mike received it, based upon our conversations. I believe you will either get crushing or water damage.
Des... I'm getting another on from Mike now! After I receive #2 from Mike, I will then decide which unit gets opened, if either do.

I'd have to open just to see if I'd bought a box of house bricks.

Ha, good point I could use another brick myself.

Box to the current Vecy is in pretty good shape indeed, almost as good as mine is (I think it has zero creases in it). Good boxes with the games too.

sj - he runs a company called "Pinball Past" in Omaha, Nebraska. Mike deals with large orders of expensive items all the time. About a year ago, a buddy of his, who used to buy out warehouses and store their contents, dropped off a large lot of NOS Vectrex stuff (~15 various NOS games and a pallet of NOS units) for Mike to 'have fun with'. I don't think either of them realized at the time the value or frenzy their items would bring. He's sold some of the nicer ones for ~$700-$900. With the better camera, that crease on the top doesn't seem so bad. Oooh and I love your stock of games! Cosmic Chasm is quickly becoming a favorite Vectrex game of mine, so much variation! You have so many nice controllers too, lucky

Thanks.
Just added some pics of my loose games and the 72-1 MultiCart I am fixing to sacrifice a cartridge for.
Three of my five joysticks have never been used, which is readily apparently from not only moving the joysticks, but just by looking at the joysticks (stick itself) and the cords. Simply amazing that I found three in that condition.

Simply amazing that I found three in that condition. Not really, considering your funding and resources! If you really want to stock up on some games, here are some links to check out: www.vectrex.biz/ (won't be sold out forever) www.vectrexoverlays.com/Vectrex/Welcome.html (for those oddity overlays you can't get anywhere else) www.classicgamecreations.com/ (tons of great homebrews) www.revival-studios.com/?page=31 (tons of great homebrews) www.vectrex.nl/ (under 'Games' tab is a ton of safe, great downloads) I believe John D. from classicgamecreations could possibly supply you with a reproduction cartridge shell - I hope more have been produced. I know Richard (VecMulti) has been begging for a large order of shells for some time now.

Makes you wonder what else sits, waiting to be discovered.
I've actually had dreams of discovering a Factory Box of 6 NOS 3D Imagers - I don't even know/think they came packaged that way, but that's how I imagined it!

Yeah, another 3D Imager pops up on eBay, all I can say is:
There Will Be Blood...
To think that 3 weeks ago I didn't have a single Vectrex item. In the immortal words of Kool Moe Dee...

^In a way I don't and want to kick your ass ;D Thanks for that. To think all that stuff has been sitting gathering dust all these years... amazing. That's not too uncommon. I just found a tabletop pinball machine at a resale shop in the last year that still had the City of Houston 1978 sticker on it Made me want to cry for not having money, nor the room to store it.

You're just jealous, Darryl! We both know that if we had that kind of dispensable income, we'd be competing with RedRaider for all these awesome items!
I saw a Coca-Cola themed tabletop pinball at a thrift - a VERY nice piece - but again, no funding or storage space. I stood lingering over it for a good 20min, trying to think of a way to make it mine, to no avail.
On topic: your camera really is amazing, RR
