.. Unless the arcade plays way different than the emulated version I play on PS2, i would actually like to see a modified version of the game on vectrex, rather than "arcade perfect". .. The concept of the game is awesome, but as cool as the tunnel scenes look, i don't really feel like i have much control of the ship, can't really dodge or aim effectively, and mostly just pushing buttons randomly. Yes, the controls probably weren't fine-tuned very well to properly imitate the dial controller from the original. I'd give 100% in regards to rating the controls from the original, they were really smooth.

Oh didn't realize it had dial controller. .. Still on my version the range of movement seems very limited.

Der Luchs has shared a video of a nice version of one of these type games. Too bad he claims that he won't be releasing the rom.

As long as he releases it in SOME form I'd think that would be ok.

It would be cool to have a game like H.E.R.O. on the Vectrex. The machine needs platformers of some kind Or maybe something like Major Havok, which mixes platforming and shoot em up

Major Havoc has been mentioned before many times, so youre not alone.
There have been attempts at a platformer. John did Super Spike World and Martijn started STIP but didn't think people would pay for the 4 overlays it used.

Kai Huotari (on facebook) just mentioned "I hope that 1975 Midway Gun Fight arcade game would be ported to Vectrex."
My response agrees. I definitely liked the game when it came out and consider the series to be another fun PVP shooter. Best playing against a human opponent of course. Part of the fun is the arguments about various things including cheating and one player's advantage over another due to Vectrex controller wear.
Gun Fight / Western Gun / Gunman / Boot Hill all should be a fairly easy games to port. And with the later game Boot Hill there was a background similar to others if it era. The idea of a period correct overlay becomes attractive more attractive to replicated Boot Hill's background.
Perhaps a western-themed series based on these titles could make up a cool multi-game with several versions in one cart.

Perhaps a western-themed series based on these titles could make up a cool multi-game with several versions in one cart. Maybe that with Bandido could be done. I never played it but it looked fun: you're in the middle of a square-shaped screen with bad guys (or something) shooting at you from all sides. Occasionally one of them will enter your area. It was like Space Invaders but all around, not with you shooting at the bottom only (plus when someone entered your area the game made a sound like a S. Invaders saucer coming out).

Bandito was what I was trying to thing of. Much more dynamic than Gun Fight in my book. Bandito combined with a Gun Fight option would be cool. I was thinking "Hombre" would be a cool name that has never been used.

There have been plenty of race car / racing games involving cars but nobody has done a motorcycle racing game for the Vectrex. Has anyone even ever done a vector motorcycle game? For arcade even?

Not the arcade. I can't even think of many raster games that had motorcycles, even! (Fonz, Motocross U. S. A., Stunt Cycle, Hang On ((I think))...that might be about it.)
