jims a clever chap, he used an old vectrex monitor in his asteroids cabaret to keep it running at a local event up ere in Scotland :) Was that at the pinball thing at Kilsyth? That was where I met Jim. I thought it was his Battlezone he took the monitor out of to fix that, not a Vectrex.

Yeh was the battlezone monitor. Hello everyone. Thanks for the positive feedback on NOX. At the moment it's shaping up as a 32k game with some nice music from Chris, 1 or 2 player, 12-15 tracks and 4 levels of difficulty (3 selectable). So far I've got support for the VECVOICE and the VECVOX in native mode. I think the OVERDRIVE controller will work as is and I'm going to take a look at supporting the VECTROSIS although it's trick as i don't have one to test. We're definitely aiming for a cart release and i think it'd be nice to bundle NOX with Chris's DeathChase. We have PCBs sorted out. Have to organise cases, packaging and overlays would be nice if we can figure out how to make 'em. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEtUhBv6dUQThanks.

If you need help designing any of the packaging, let me know. I would help you do up the graphics. I think its so funny that so many homebrew Vector game publishers don't design their box artwork in a vector program.

I was referring to taking a few images and putting them together in photoshop or ms paint.

I love that idea and I have always felt like it was something missing from Vectrex games - cool fantasy illustrations that were the norm for so many other consoles' packaging.

I really like that artwork. As glip says, it would be great to see this on a Vectrex game as it would be beyond the norm for the system.

That looks incredible. Does it have 4 player support?

I like it, though I think that the logo could have more depth especially since you have 3 other colors to work with. The fact that you are able to incorporate the game play in the design is great. That's a difficult aspect of designing an overlay. Does look like you used a Vector program to design it, I'll ask the question that's on everyone's mind, what will be the execution of the overlay? Screen print?

I am trying to use as few colours as possible so I,ve only given myself 2 opaque colours. White and orange.. And 2 transparent. I'm going to try for screen printing but it depends on what the printer says.

Doesn't opacity depend on whether it is backed by white or not? Its different when its on the emulator.
BTW, apparently George Pelonis has found a printer to do his Warrior overlays maybe this printer can do others for the community in the US.
