Thank you for doing this Chris! I am having an issue and wondering if anyone else has gotten this version to work on a multicart. I have a Vecmulti. Downloaded and copied the bin over, recreated the menus. Tried it in two different Vectrex units with the same result: I see the game on the menu, select it, and then see the title screen. When I press a button to continue, I see a quick flash of a vector, then a black screen and nothing more.
Pretty sure I need to use the ROM patcher on the file, but I can't get it to work. Does anyone know where there is documentation on the Vecmulti ROM patcher program? Having no luck.
Aha, solution found. I need the ROM patched for Vecmulti but the patcher doesn't seem to work on my PC. I found a ROm patched copy of EDIH over at AtariAge forums, and it works fine! But it's not the special version of EDIH for the War of the Vectors.
Could someone that has a Vecmulti with a working ROM patcher patch Chris' special bin version of EDIH and post it here please?

Try this EDIH_VectorWarX_VecMulti_Patched.BIN ( drive.google.com/file/d/1zDwPmVIIfwTIo-tsXKorMT9A3PT_x-e4 )

...Could someone that has a Vecmulti with a working ROM patcher patch Chris' special bin version of EDIH and post it here please? I've just patched EDIH and added the patched binary to the ZIP archive. You can downlod the ZIP archive here. Please let us know whether this works for you. EDIT: Vectrexer was few minutes faster than me.

Unfortunately I didn't have the time to search and create an easy way for uploading images. So please bear another year with uploading your screenshots to some server or an image or file hosting server. Often, the very last day of the Vector War is comparatively calm because people may upload highscores of two games, only. I wonder whether this limitation should be "removed". More frequent (e.g. hourly) score codes could be introduced to ensure that scores are posted right after they have been achieved. Comments? Ideas? Less than 12 hours to go...

I just pulled my controller apart to clean the contacts, I'd seen images of the insides before, but wow are they rudimentary! I'm surprised they've lasted this long at all, given the beating some of the sticks I had in the 80s got. Mind you, my Competition Pro from back in the day still looks pretty good, but then it does have proper least switches.

I've just received an offer for another prize: Alan ( eyelyft71), the designer of the graphics of the Vectrex Fans Unite edge light (and various other Vectrex graphics) will donate a - you guess it - Vectrex Fans Unite edge light. It's a bit unfortunate that it's not a Vectorgaming forum edge light but the prize is accepted. Here are two links to videos which show the VFU edge light in action: photos.app.goo.gl/EsfFKYZj2dVz1xW68photos.app.goo.gl/pvWseV43hVFud8w48Thank you very much, Alan, for this great prize!

Vector War X is on, now. First score code is Gradius. The current score code can always be found in the initial post. Good luck and fun to everyone participating!

I just realized that threshold scores are missing in the initial post. A threshold score is the minimum score for a game to submit a score. I'll add threshold scores a.s.a.p..
BTW, Vector War lasts for 7 days and 15 hours.

EDITED SEVERAL TIMES, HCMFFM please read again if you see this notice :-) In my opinion, we could try once to cancel this limitation of 2 games (at last day) to look what will happen. How often you should change the codeword then is a good question. Every hour is too often I think, because what if I start f.e. Mine Storm and play this 45 minutes, and then the last codeword is alerady inactive since 30 minutes... Will the score still be valid or not? Maybe change at the end of Friday before you go to bed, and then on Saturday on 12, 18, 20, 22 o clock that scores can not "reserved" in advance. But just my opinion, we don't have to change this, if all other want to stay with the old rules. Also it would be maybe too late now, that everybody reads / is informed about the new rule, or that we discuss too much about it instead of playing games :-) so maybe move this idea to next year? But as I said, just my opinion. I forgot: Good luck to all, and have fun during Vector War. Looking forward to meet / read some of the people that participated in the last years, but also to meet new people and competitors :-)

As per usual per year, I'll be moving non-related gaming posts (since the contest has started) to another thread later on this morning, so just keep on posting scores as you will as I get stuff to normal here.

Discussions on the rules can continue here - submission of scores are supposed to be posted in the "Vector War" main topic.

Try using Patcher.exe on the VecMulti SD card.
